How much weight in truck bed to counteract front end weight when driving in icy/snowy conditions?

theres no certain weight. the more weight you can get over the rear wheels the better, but obviously you dont need 3 tons (exageration) but like you said, around 300lbs. is good. and take it easy on the go pedal so your tires will grip better.
