Is it okay to give pieces of real chicken to my dog as treats instead of commercial stuff?

Sure,chicken is great for dogs.My dogs eat it almost every day as a treat. You can slice chicken very thin and put them on an oiled cookie sheet and bake them in a slow (180 degrees) oven for several hours until they are dried - chicken jerky! You can do it with beef,turkey,lamb,etc.But since your dog likes soft treats,just boil or bake the meat,freeze it and feed.
