Foley catheter?

the area may have been tramatized - like if the patient pulled one out in the past. also, if the patient is on blood thinners or has some type of major health issue, it could cause bleeding in the bladder or uretha. since it is clear now, I would guess the trauma - you need to make sure the catheter is in the bladder before inflating the bulb so you will not traumatize the urethra. hope he is okay.
