What is the concept of "love" like in Islam?

In Islam some people (who seriously want to get married eventually) are allowed to see a person, just not alone. e.g. two people might be in the living room and the parents of the people in the dining room. (Just to make sure they aren't alone alone.) and if you like the guy/gal then u can always arrange another meeting. IDK what Christianity has but we sometimes do it this way and if u want still arent sure and want to get to know the guy/gal then u can always do a Nikah ( in short engagement/marriage) but of course if it doesn't work out then u haven't done anything besides talk so u can always back out. but I myself wouldn't do that unless i already liked the person and just wanted to ask a few personal ?s.
